28 Spatial Considerations for Biarteca

The Biarteca Festival of 2014 took place along a path through the village of Oretto, the forest above it before ending up by the Medieval hillside church of Santa Maria. At every light source along the route a Biarteca participant was invited to perform two one minute movements during which they considered their relationship to this particular mountain path and the significance of a space in general. The first movement was internal focusing on a mental process. The second movement asked for the mental process to be externalized into a physical expression. Each movement was photographed with a one minute long exposure.
